Jesus says: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8,12)
Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and overcame death. When he rose from the dead, he radiated this powerful light of life from his body, creating this wonderful image on his burial shroud.
The Bible reports this phenomenon: The apostles Peter, James, and John, for example, witnessed Jesus being transformed on the Mount of Transfiguration, and the light that emanated from him changed his clothing:
“As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.” (Luke 9:29)
“There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.” (Matthew 17:2)
Despite extensive scientific investigations, the existence of the image of Jesus on the shroud cannot be scientifically explained, and it is not possible to create such an image with today’s technology!
God gives us the JESUS PHOTO as a miracle so that we can believe more easily:
“Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” (John 4:48)
“God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.” (Hebrews 2:4)
